Mark Anthony Bishop
Mark
Bishop became a dentist (BDS 1973) at Bristol
University. He has worked in clinical dentistry and
in basic science related to dentistry. Although he
has done some general practice work, more recently
he has practised endodontics exclusively.
Mark has also completed a training (MSc) in endodontics at
King's College (Guy's Dental School) in London. Prior to setting
up this referral practice in Guildford he worked as an
endodontist in practices in London, Kent, Berkshire and
Hampshire.
Mark has taught anatomy to dental students in Great Britain
and North America. His research included a PhD and concentrated
on the nerve supply, blood supply and formative cells (odontoblasts)
of the dental pulp. The pulp is the tissue that becomes damaged
or infected and leads to the need for endodontic or root canal
treatment.
He established the referral practice in Endodontics in
Guildford in 2002. |
